Help The Aged - Workshops Markham Community House

In response to the recently launched Paying for Care consultation launched by the Welsh Assembly Government, Help the Aged in Wales is holding a series of workshops on the issue of how long term care should be funded in the future.  These workshops will enable older people to contribute to the debate by allowing participants to explore in detail the questions posed in the consultation paper:

  • the responsibilities of individuals, families and society?
  • the potential for a model of social insurance?
  • views on free personal care?
  • a national or a local system?
  • different systems for different needs?
  • support for people with low incomes and assets?

The event most local to the Upper Sirhowy Valley will take place in:

Pontyclun
on Wednesday 28 January 2009
at 2-4.30pm

****Refreshments will be provided & travel expenses will be reimbursed****

Book early to avoid disappointment by phoning Kathy Lye, Forum Support Officer on 029 2034 6554 or email SUFOAWales@helptheaged.org.uk

These workshops will help to inform the Help the Aged in Wales response to consultation and will also be fed directly into the consultation process.
